OLIVER OWL

The Pod

Created as part of Owl Trail. The design was developed from community workshops and contains many images and ideas that root it in Nechells. The stripes that run over his shoulders are formed from the canal, road and rail tracks. The Heart and veins that sit on the back of his head are based on the spaghetti junction and area known as the Heartlands of Birmingham. The children hold hands under a rainbow showing the closeness of the Nechells community.
